At one of the points, the boat will stop near a “pool” in the frozen sea, the engines will stop, and we will be able to float in the ice-cold water with the help of special thermal suits provided by the skilled boat’s crew. We will see rare wild animals that have adapted to the arctic climate of Lapland; among others, we will see the white polar bear. We then proceed to the husky dog farm, where we will receive a customary welcome and learn about the methods used in their upbringing and training. We will ride a dog sled through a unique, breathtaking wilderness region covered in ice. We then take a bus north to the village of Levi, which is situated in the Arctic wilderness north of the Arctic Circle. When the weather and predictions for the appearance of the “Northern Lights” indicate a chance of seeing the phenomenon, we will head out in the evening after dinner to a desolate area where we can watch the unique “Aurora Borealis.”
